have they ever eliminated a test or a drug (like Viagra) for men?.....told them they didn't need prostate tests for example?..
Actually, I believe that Prostate exams, like pap smears, HAVE been rationed for men. Do you realize that, under the general guidelines, Pap smears are not available for women after age 65.....unless you have symptoms. The reason that paps have been so successful at cutting the cervical cancer rate is because abnormal cells usually exfoliate long before there are obvious symptoms. If you are over 65 and have symptoms, such as bleeding, you are likely going to die. When a post menopausal woman has symptoms, the cancer is USUALLY well advanced. Now, not all pump women with symptoms are going to die, but I tell all my friends to keep getting those paps....just tell the doc that you have pain or something.
