The picture above is not a cyclops pig. I’ve seen a few cases in sheep.
It is most certainly a cyclopean pig. The defining feature of cyclopia is that the brain does not separate into two halves, thus causing the eye(s) to form in a very abnormal manner.
Cyclopia can manifest as a single eye with one pupil, two pupils in an eye, or even two eyes in a socket. Sometimes, there is no visible eye, just a lidded socket.
If you don’t mind looking at pictures of highly deformed humans, you can do an internet search on cyclopia and look at the pictures. There are many variations on the appearance of the disorder. Cyclopia is the most severe of a class of brain development disorders called holoprosencephaly and it is always lethal.
