Over 600,000 displaced persons/refugees returned to Aleppo in 2017. Pictures I saw last week from there showed people in one of their beautiful parks. At Christmas, people were worshipping in restored Churches.
One thing that has impressed me in places like Aleppo was how quickly I saw Syrians and Russians repaving roads, repairing infrastructure. It was something I have never seen.
Where I live it’s like an obstacle course to avoid potholes that feel like your wheel just broke off if you hit one.

There is a cadre in this forum who seem to project all the evils of the Western-supported islamists onto the govt. Note, I am NOT saying that the Assad regime is good.
