One of the finest young people I know was born with DS. He has a heart of gold.
Is this your child?
I have respect for those who chose to raise children with Down Syndrome and other disabilities that will require life-long care (are any Down Syndrome persons ever able to live fully independently?).
I'm not sure it's something my wife or I could do. Fortunately, we were blessed with four healthy children so I won't pretend that my opinion means anything to those who weren't.
They are innocent, happy, lovely people.
Pretty sure they all do.
That chromosome holds something we could all use to lose a bit of.
