I sincerely respect and admire your honesty, thank you. I have always had the same view as you, until the day my son was born. I told God that I don't have what it takes, I am not as good as those other parents who have a special needs child. In 14 years God has truly enlightened me, so many little lessons, each powerful beyond the brightest star. Every day I am in amazement at what my son does and how big his heart and soul is. I can do this because he is teaching me how to do it. I truly believe a proud father of 4 as you are, you could and would do God's work in the most amazing way. I will also share that I am privileged to have been chosen by my son as his father, in relation to his condition I have been showered with so much love, so very much, such deep and beautiful gifts that other parents will never know. There is a trade off in this life and there is nothing I would ever do to turn back the clock.
God Bless you and your Family.
Your Post is so beautiful I had to reread it a few times to absorb the brilliance, empathy and love contained in your words.
Thank you.
