“Jessie Holmes, this year’s Rookie of the Year, approached the finish chute while Diehl was preparing to pull his team out, at 2:39. Holmes finished in seventh place, and celebrated by feeding his team raw steaks. This year’s champion, Ulsom, was rookie of the year in 2013, in which he also finished in 7th place on the Southern route.”
I saw a very short clip of Jessie finishing (on Iditarod site) & his dogs looked very good - moving right along, tails up & peppy!
I’m happy for him. From how he handles himself on the TV he deserves the success.

I hope Life Below Zero gets another season (they’re in their 10th!) and next year they can feature Jesse and his dogs running the Iditarod!
