First time I heard of that nation was when their king was assassinated back in the 1970s.

How do they breathe?? That’s simple — They only inhale and never exhale.

That never-exhaling part is only tough for the first few minutes or so.

I thought that Finland was the happiest. Finland tops 2018 UN global happiness index

Those are the countries that the UN thinks are the happiest based on a variety of statistics.

I think it's BS. Those are the countries the UN thinks are the "happiest" because they go furthest in fulfilling the UN's agenda. People in those countries may actually be pretty morose (or at least nervous).

I don't think Bhutan is really the happiest country in the world either -- that's just public relations or propaganda -- but I suspect you'll find more cheerful people there than in Finland or Denmark.

It rang out "double meaning" as soon as I read it.

Old guys like me just think that way. :-)

“Before 1974, Bhutan was completely closed off to tourists and most outsiders, and even now, only a few fee-paying visitors are allowed in at a time.”

Why? Are they a nation of RACISTS????

Maybe they mean "no net carbon emissions."

If you have enough trees maybe they absorb the oven fires and cow farts.

Or maybe the writer just doesn't know what she's talking about.

That is why I said everything must have been dead for a very long time.

The only way you have no carbon emissions is a complete sterilization of the area.

Not only merely dead: really, most sincerely dead!

After viewing the photos, I can only marvel at how such a small country hidden deep in the Himalayas can have a school with a makeshift sign written in English..........NatGeo, the new propaganda machine.........
