Seems like a turd would be more like the “inside” of a black hole...

I had an old friend that had some mining claims and I went up to help him explore the area for minerals. We got some interesting results and I wanted to keep going and get more and different data.

“Well hold on there. I can only keep these claims if I do at least $500 (or whatever) of improvements on them a year. I “charge” myself my typical $100/hour consulting fee for these investigations. But if we find it too quickly - then I’ll have to start spending real money for a drill rig, etc.”

After about six years of helping him (and he had been doing it for at least that long prior to me helping him), one summer we were ready with an old drill rig that a buddy of his had. We got up to the site and the bit broke right away - it hadn’t been used in years. Of course no spare bits or anything. (I was surprised the old thing ran at all.)

“Oh well - just the time it took to drive up here and stand around for a few hours “cost” $500. We can try again next year.”

Of course that fall he died and his kids didn’t file the proper paperwork to extend his claims. But - that really wasn’t the point anyway for the old guy. He just wanted a couple of places to retreat to and explore.

Of course actually exploring out in the mountains is a lot more fun than exploring Google Earth images in one’s basement!

Wing flaperon confirmed to be from MH370

Found on July 29, 2015 by a crew cleaning a Reunion Island beach.

If the plane actually did go down where the Aussie engineer claims, the flaperon's sea voyage was a lot shorter than previously thought.

Sounds like it was an adventure indeed. Always fun exploring in remote areas. Never know what you might unearth. 8>)

Not any plane. It depends on the nature of the crash. Pieces can stay quite close together if it hits right and the current tends to carry all a certain way.

I wonder what is on the opposite side of a Black Hole?

The same thing as on the other side.

That's assuming they exist at all. I have my doubts.

It’s not our plane. But somebody’s gotta look. I nominate Jame Cameron, he’s got that Titanic sub, it can get further down than this.
