IDK.

I think, in order to have standing in any court, you have to show specific, deliberate and unique harm. I think just asserting a lot of people are harmed doesn’t cut it. That would be a Class Action or maybe a RICO case. I don’t see where individuals, especially from an opposing political party, would have SCOTUS standing.

SCOTUS is limited to constitutional arguments, is that right? So, this would have to be a case brought over Separation of Powers or Enumerated Powers, again: IMO. Otherwise, it boils down to political differences and the SCOTUS doesn’t do politics, at least not publicly.

So, I think it has to be a Constitutional case brought to decide between Presidential and Congressional Powers. There must be a slew of decisions extant from the Lincoln Administration. Again, JIMO.

Trump plays 3 D chess. The rest play checkers.

My personal list for complete defunding:

1) Department of Education
2) Planned Parenthood
3) Public Broadcasting
4) National Endowment for the Arts ( and I am an artist, too.)

They will tie Trump up again and can do it again and again. The demons must be faced sooner or later.

So far, it seems to me they haven’t accomplished anything except headlines. It costs a lot to get to the SCOTUS. The Executive has the edge in that. The WH attorneys must be constitutional experts. They aren’t exactly hanging out in every precinct in the country and they aren’t cheap. They can pick and choose cases, too.

Trump can get a case in front of SCOTUS quickly. He can send his lawyers to the supervising jurisdiction to get a quick opinion and then move up the next level. By the time the MSM pauses for a breath or throws out their next caltrops, Trump has a decision on their last 2-3 dramas.

The demons are being confronted daily. The MSM just doesn’t bother to report it. IMO.

Sorry for the lag in responding. Busy here and trying to stay current at the same time.

Oh, of course not.

It’s totally on Congress if they appropriated that much money because they have the megaphone of the media and captive DNC affiliates to scream blue murder if he dares go against Congress. They will fight each and every impoundment, slow walk or attempt to deal with the appropriations for their faves.

See how that works?

Watch POTUS. He hates to waste $$. He prides himself on *on time & under budget* and his track record is exactly that. He did not become a billionaire by throwing $$ down a rat hole and now, on top of his personal obsessions, he is pissed. He will revel in rubbing their noses in the amount returned to the Treasury.

Also, just occurred to me: Trump designates an agency of the US Government every quarter for his salary donation. I wonder if he can donate in such a way as to facilitate the wall? He also returns the profits from all foreign Trump interests to the Treasury. Again: it will be interesting to see where the 2nd Q donation lands.

You are just looking for a way to blame Trump.

1998: Clinton v. The city of New York - Congress can not delegate a “line-item veto” to the President

1935: A.L.A. Schechter Poultry Corp. v. The United States - Congress cannot delegate the power to specify “fair competition”

1825: Wayman v. Southard - decision on the degree to which Congress can specify judicial procedure

I see two cases that involved the executive branch on one side, but none where one branch sued another. I imagine the corrupt left is already looking for a plaintiff who can claim “harm” and thus standing.

Nothing from Lincoln’s time? I’m surprised.

"I wish people wouldn't panic and write him off so quickly every time there's a bump in the road"

Agree 100%. How I wish the "armchair presidents" would take a minute to stop and consider what he is up against before they start their ranting.

President Trump is waging a one man war against massive corruption at the highest levels in our government, as well as having to do battle with the greedy globalists who are also trying to bring our nation down.

He, his family, and everyone around him engaged in this desperate fight, are being continuously attacked from all sides. They need and deserve our constant prayers and support.

God bless you president Trump and your wife and family and all trying to get this country back on track.

Trump has nothing to lose - they’ll hate him no matter what he does. So go ahead, take the money, fund the military and build the Wall...

You’re being thoughtful and intelligent. This. sorry to say, is a bit anachronistic. The Left are irrational and angry. They are delusional and acting upon their delusion. The BELIEVE their bullshit. Those judges were as morally outraged as any human could possibly be. Unless they are shown the error of their ways they will build moral outrage until it explodes. Trump backed up before them just as we all have done for the past 40 yrs when they have ascribed our opinions to bigotry, evil or mental disease and got away with it with their teeth intact. Trump had a responsibility to the law to uphold it when so EGREGIOUSLY transgressed. Trump will spend the rest of his terms in court because his enemy can do ANYTHING they want over and over again. Remember Gov. Palin? If Trump had dismissed those decisions with a wave of his hand as he had every right and responsibility to do, most people think that the left would have exploded. They probably would have. But the basis of their moral outrage would have been (I apologize for this phrase) purest bullshit. Intelligent men cannot ignore lunacy as that will guarantee more and greater lunacy. These are not men of good will...

Tal, the peons on the left, the warm bodies, believe. The ones in the middle, like these judges, act on orders. It is cynical. Just cause Trump and the conservatives grief. They live for it.

Trump is in a delicate position. Separating him from his base (and we have/are believers, too)and trying to shake his confidence are tactics. The left doesn’t care or even believe Stormy....but they hope to make Trump’s personal life miserable, so they go with it.

If he reacted with anger or as if all of this was the hill to die on each time, he’d be tied up in knots and stop being able to function, thus playing into their hands. She has evidence and can describe his junk?? How does she prove that? Does he drop trou and prove her wrong? Boy, they’d love that (or some version of it). She never produces any proof, of course. Just asserts whatever to keep the level of pressure at high.

Much better to just go around them, ignore them publicly and keep on keeping on. It drives them nuts. When he has workarounds in play, it explodes their little heads.

I know conservatives and I used to (once upon a time in a different life)know progs. I’m not the only one on our side who can keep their cool in the heat of a battle. One of my mentors, a long time ago, gave me this advice in dealing with obstructionists who wished me and my plans ill:”Just smile. The bigger the ahole, the bigger the smile. Guaranteed to drive them insane. Insane people make mistakes.”

A lot of progs use frothing at the mouth as a tactic, combined with getting in our face. It is definitely done for effect. Supposed to be intimidating, especially when used against someone smaller, older, younger, weaker or female. Over-the-top language is used the same way. Like ape or chimp displays. In quieter, more private moments, you’ll find these people don’t believe one single thing they spout. They believe nothing except that the revolution is vital and they cannot even articulate why. Revolution for its own sake. Another of their tactics is to begin laughing loudly when called out. That sort of laughter is mocking and in a crowd, it can be contagious, shifting the balance. Turn it back on them, They hate it. They want you (or Trump) to explode on them, then they will back up and act all wide-eyed and hurt. “Why’d you do that? You’re unstable.”

Trump is a construction guy from Queens. He knows the street and he knows how things work. He’s dealing perfectly. Look at this turn-around on the use of DOD $$ for the wall. There’s even an article floating around on this tactic that has a date from a year or so ago. Trump has their number.

He’s doing fine. Smile. He does. You’d think after a while, they’d become hip to Trump’s tactics, but they are one-note Charlies and have no other play. Trump takes note and files it away. He likes his revenge cold; he doesn’t forget and he does get even.

Just smile and keep on keeping on.

“Trump is in a delicate position.”

Breath taking understatement. Dude’s in a terrifying place (to any reasonably sentient creature). I prescribe your stated thoughts to all men 99 and 9/10ths of the time. But there are vanishingly few times when the hands MUST come out of the pockets. To me Trump and the nation are past that point. My only comfort is that I am a monument inscriber not the POTUS. Maybe he knows something I don’t that changes the picture...
