I read an article about that fascinating phenomenon years ago. It was jaw-dropping to see in print.
Homosexual men, apparently, become so weary trying desperately to avoid HIV that they (“bug chasers”) finally will have consensual unprotected sex with a known HIV+ partner just to contract the disease and not have to live with as much anxiety any longer. It is crazy.
