Wrong! Jack Nicklaus
I’m no Tiger Woods fan, but from what I’ve seen and heard about his Father, it’s not surprising he may have “issues”.
Some people don’t do well socially.
No one owes Bill Clinton the time of day... he has not earned any respect from anyone.

Yep. And when Tiger won the Masters in 97, his parents were already separated, but kept secret.
Tiger was just being himself. I admit some pros are so ‘in the zone’ that they can give the appearance of indifference, but from what I have heard, Tiger’s assholery is genuine. We can also thank him for throwing clubs, mouthing obsenities while on camera, and having uncouth fans who yell ‘In da hole’. Tiger single handedly removed a good portion of class from the gentleman’s game. He’s a little like Obama. I hope he misses the cut this week.
Good for him...I like him even more.
Back in September 2001 (actually, the last weekend before the 9/11 attacks), me and my Dad went to the Canadian Open at the Royal Montreal and Tiger was the main event there. You could tell by seeing the huge throng of people following him from hole to hole. But for me, the real highlight was seeing Spike McRoy hole out from about 150 yards using an eight iron, lol.
Yep. Johnny Miller could be a real jerk
The majority of golf pros are very friendly with “regular folks”, on and off the golf course (in my experience).
Tiger was an exception, apparently.
It wasn’t Miller. It was one of the four points of the compass.
I can't judge golf, but I can judge human behavior. I met Nicklaus while filming a sports interview during my first professional job. In the early years of television, many of the sports anchors enlisted "news" guys for production help, as they didn't have media training. We met Nicklaus at his home in Columbus, Ohio and he couldn't have been nicer to a kid who looked about 17 and carried a TV camera!
Real simple, they were competing over the same waitress.
Tiger may well be an @$$wipe; But having heard about Slick’s taking liberties with the scorecard, Woods probably took a dim view of Slick winding up with a better score than HE did. Just a WAG.
Tiger got his roving eye from his father. Earl Woods was a retired Army Lt Col, but once it became apparent his son was a prodigy, Earl devoted his life to Tiger’s career and traveled with him for years until his death. Folks in the golf world will tell you that the elder Woods had a hook-up at virtually every stop on the tour, and Tiger was never lacking for female companionship, even in his days as an amateur.
The apple doesn’t rot far from the tree. As for his “treatment” of Bill Clinton, I’m guessing Slick was probably hitting on Tiger’s concubine of the moment.

As far as Clinton goes, all I have to save about his interactions with Tiger Woods is good for Tiger.
Oh, the irony; when Tiger outed himself through his own deplorable conduct, it gave cover to another world-class horndog who was going through similar troubles, David Letterman.
Lest we forget, the Woods scandal exploded at the same time Letterman was being forced to confess he had “inappropriate relationships” with several young women on this staff. Ol’ Dave had his own rumpus room/apartment in the Ed Sullivan Theater (where his CBS show was taped) and spent much of his time there, or at his other properties, while his wie and son lived in their Manhattan apartment.
Today, Letterman’s admission would be enough (at least in theory) to get him fired and exiled from the entertainment world. But the media quickly forgot about Letterman’s scandal and focused on Woods. Dave was even depicted as “the victim,” since his philandering was exposed after his staffer’s boyfriend (a 60 Minutes producer, no less) attempted to blackmail the talk show host.
I’ve often wondered if Letterman ever sent Tiger Woods some sort of gift for taking the spotlight off of him, and allowing him to continue his career at CBS for another 5-6 years (with an annual salary of $20 million). Both Letterman and Woods are pigs and they deserve nothing but scorn and disdain.
But the episode is also an example of how the media plays favorites. Letterman was always idolized by the press, particularly the media and entertainment writers. So, when the Woods scandal erupted, they were quite willing to forget about Dave’s indiscretions and focus on Tiger Woods.
I don’t get a lot of sissy white men that cheer for Tiger. He cheated on his wife with nasty women. He’s a part time drug addict. Not exactly what I would consider a role model.
There are too many doing things the right way to cheer for this clown.
Saw the Headline and Tiger jumped several notches in my book!
I kind of empathize with Tiger on this one.
