Even Earth-like life is rare on Earth and rarer in the Solar System. Only about 3 parts per billion of the mass of the Earth is biomass. And even on a life friendly planet like ours it took billions of years just for life to show up on land.

there are uncountable trillions of galaxies ... each with millions of stars ... life rare? there is life where ever you look on Earth. Counting by parts per billion ... that way you will never see how much life is to be found ... life is only rare in some people’s minds ...
