It’s a platform that allows access to 2 billion people.
And Facebook is systematically restricting access to that platform based upon political content.
PRECISELY what the left warns about with respect to net neutrality. Facebook probably expended more energy and money than every other entity combined advocating for net neutrality.
Of course, they only wanted it to apply to transport, while they expected to be able to censor CONTENT.
They are just itching for an anti-trust suit.

Should anyone succeed in forcing Facebook to treat its conservative members fairly, you can rest assured the left will come for sites like this one and force the smaller players to accept noxious left-wing content. As long as FB is a private-sector business, government shouldn't force content.
Other than the Ayres-era FoxNews, the so-called right wing has never realized the need for multiple strong media outlets.
All this talk of Facebook tightening down to stop foreign interference is nothing more than an a vehicle to kick conservatives off of Facebook.

WARNER: “I first called out Facebook and some of the social media platforms in December of 2016. For the first six months, the companies just kind of blew off these allegations, but these proved to be true; that Russia used their social media platforms with fake accounts to spread false information, they paid for political advertising on their platforms. Facebook says those tactics are no longer allowed — that they’ve kicked this firm off their site, but I think they’ve got a lot of explaining to do.”...etc

By equating words with violence and feelings with physical harm, they end up with “words = physical assault”.
Taken to its logical conclusion, you get the liberal equivalent of lynch mobs seeking to kill the apostate or critic of the faith. He hurt your feelings, she disagreed with your sacred self, wounding you in all ways, and that’s attempted murder.
Just like Muslims who equate criticism of the faith with literal assault on all believers, so you can kill them in self-defense.

Now fb is being ‘weaponized’ (to use favorite left wing nut term) for left wing nut propaganda purposes.
Nationalize fb, ran by the people, and oust zuckerberg as first order of operation.

1. Facebook controls access to 2 billion people. That’s a media monopoly, even upon the assumption somebody could build a comparable platform to compete. The fait acompli is 2 billions users.
2. One could make a good argument that Facebook is in a completely different class than all other content providers. Only Drudge and Google/Youtube have anything approaching their control over the information landscape.
They are a monopoly “social network”. The only question is whether they should be broken up, or regulated.
But it’s time for the DOJ to write that legal logic and file the suit.
This is unbelievable. Unsafe? UNSAFE? Diamond and Silk, unsafe?
FB says decision is final and cannot be appealed.
I hope this blows up on Zuckerberg and FB.
I never joined FB...always made me queasy for some reason, but most everyone I know is on it, and some are leaving while others are tryimg to think of alternatives.
