Yes, and no. President Trump insulted Cruz's wife. While the correct answer for the country was to get behind the nominee and do everything possible to avoid a lethal blow to freedom that a Hillary victory would have produced, Cruz is also a married man. It's hard to blame him for deferring to family loyalty, particularly since it turned out not to have harmed our candidate. It may even have helped Trump that he had yet another DC resident who didn't support him.

Yes, and no. President Trump insulted Cruz’s wife.

Oh, nonsense. Trump apologized for that and if Cruz was still upset about it he shouldn’t have agreed to attend the convention or speak. But to show up, speak, NOT endorse the candidate and tell people to “vote their conscience” (i.e., vote for HIM) was the height of back-stabbing, narcissistic rudeness. There’s NO excuse for that behavior.
