Yes Art Bell on many road trips. He also kept me awake when I had to be up with babies/children/elderly relatives in the night for years.

I had a different take on Art Bell than most; I thought he was an excellent interviewer who knew how to bring out what the guest wanted to say. He allowed guests to say what they wanted to say, and he was magical at drawing out other details.

I did not think he believed what every guest had to say, but he gave them a place to thoroughly explain what they did believe. Some things he did believe, but others he seemed to be neutral or unbelieving of but that was just my take. He was fair with his guests, and supportive of them. In the beginning of listening to Bell I thought he believed all of the things on his show, after listening to him for a while I could sense when he did not. I could have been wrong of course but the feeling that listeners got to know him was also one of his gifts.

I thought he was a master radio host, no matter how you felt about what was presented it was hard to tune out. It was all very interesting with the right mix of humor, scariness, ETC. whatever the subject called for, he was able to carry it off.

First time I listened I was on a road-trip from SoCal to midwest, middle of nowhere AZ, 1-2AM, pitch black, no one on the road but me, and topic was...ghost stories.

Let's just say...it kept me awake.

I haven’t been listening in years but Noory was into political conspiracy and he would bring on people like Alex Jones on. Art Hated that and bashed the show at one point. Art was supposedly Libertarian and voted for George W. Bush, but he supported Obama I was lead to believe.

Yes, Noory supported people such as Alex Jones and has backed off. But he supports people like liberal John Hogue and appears to not like Trump. . Noory is doing some CYA and in my opinion is gutless. Noory is an opportunist with his finger to the wind.

As I remember, Art initially supported Obama but when he saw him for what he is, he changed his mind.
