Don’t be fooled. This is a 1912 headline.

Today the headline would read “Global warming causes iceberg to strike ocean liner”.

Many captains of industry aboard that ship. I wonder what would be different today had they survived.

There’s that famous “male privilege” exemplified in the headline.

The arrogance of British command going full speed ahead in icy waters and the utter stupidity of the Californian who could have saved so many lives. It all adds up to an incredible true-life story - a thumbnail sketch of how man falls short.

I recently read that one of the few men who survived was the chairman of the White Star line, the company that built and operated the Titanic. He lived under a cloud of accusations of cowardice for the rest of his life. I suppose nowadays he could just say he identified as a woman and everyone would be outraged that he didn’t get the first seat on a lifeboat.

If mussies had been on board all the women and children would have died...after they were raped. No apologies!

If you just got that newspaper then you need to update your internet speed! You must have a really slow modem.

I sat and watched a real-time YouTube last night of the 2 hours and 40 minutes including when they hit the iceberg til it went under. I will never get on a cruise ship. :-)

The sad thing was that many of the lifeboats weren’t filled to capacity.

For those who've not yet swallowed the "red pill," I offer a truly life-changing event.

If who have not yet heard the Gary Bell (a.k.a. "Spaceman") take on the Titanic Sinking owes it to himself to listen to all of this!

(When I went there just now, I got the message "Sorry, there was a problem loading the video," but that isn't be a problem, as there is no video, only audio. What I had to do was download the file (See area to click in the upper left corner of that linked page.) and play it on my local computer.)

You'll thank yourself for taking the time, I guarantee it.

A Night to Remember was the best Titanic movie. Rewatched it a few years ago.

If the Titanic sunk today, the Drive bys would blame Trump for causing the iceberg...
