The Obamas thought the more the merrier, which of course made it less special for everyone.
The MSM is just itching for any little tidbit they can criticize, when in fact planning a nice event like this is right up Melania’s alley.

One of Trump’s early campaign promises was to build a new, larger State Dining room, or Ballroom, because he was appalled that the Obamas kept renting tents to entertain foreign dignitaries. I haven’t heard him mention that since, but he did say it early on.
