Just wow.
Please note, later in the article there is text which says they (may) have cancelled the monthly donation now. With all of the bad publicity.
But they won't be sure, until next month.
I worked for a gym who wouldn’t allow people to quit paying, even after they closed the gym.
I could not care less if this Clinton supporter gets his 10 bucks back. He’ll only send it to crazy Bernie.
I just don’t believe this. The way to stop an automatic payment is to fill out a form at the bank if an automatic debit, or if s credit card, fill out a form with them. Not to contact the agency receiving the money. Directing the agent handling your account mandates that they follow your directions.
You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.
See, this is what’s broken with auto-drafts on your bank account or credit card. Cutting it off shouldn’t even INVOLVE the merchant. It should be that you log on to your bank account or CC account and block that transaction from occurring. The way it is now, it’s as if the transaction isn’t yours to make or not make, and you have to enlist the cooperation of the payee to stop it. MAJOR, MAJOR design flaw.
The Clinton campaign was also known for making unauthorized charges on small donor’s credit cards. They did this, blatant credit card fraud, knowing that, IIRC, banks would not bring in regulators for small amounts but pass on the cost to their customers.
Clintons are scum.
The guy should be able to stop payments somehow.
Typical democrats. All they can do is take money from the people.
The Clintons have to pay their Bills with other peoples money
Easy peasy.
Just cancel the card that the draft is based on.
And report them to the credit bureau.
Better put some ice on it, Koscielniak. You too have been screwed by the Clintons.
You can usually cancel this type of recurring payment by going through your payment provider, depending how it’s set up.

His only option is to take his credit card to Fort Marcy park.
I did click the link to read the article but nowhere did I see that he a) stopped payment at his bank or b) stopped payment at his credit card co. He went to the state AG to force a ‘cancel’ button. Seems like the long way around, but he can go down in history as the cancelbutton guy I guess.
uh, close the bank account or cancel your credit card?
Call your bank and cancel th card. Have them send you a new one. Its not that hard.
