Over that last several years, over 1000 parishes have left the TEC. After this development many more are sure to follow.

Another nail in the coffin for the deminishing Episcopal Church. It turned so hard left there is no going back now. It can rot in hell.

TEC replaces traditional marriage vows with ones from the the “She=He=It” movement.

I’d love to be a fly in the wall when you all are gathered together around the Thanksgiving table.

Where words can mean anything, they can also mean nothing.

“Who wants fudge?”

...”Can’t say husband and wife anymore? Holey moley where does this nonsense ever end?”...

There is no depth to which they will not go unless some kind of historical event stops the madness. That will happen but no one can predict when.

...”28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.”...

It is hard, when reading this, to not think about the evil which has been dished out to our President from day one and which is still going on, with the leftist American media being the prime mover and shaker of all that. I know we are to pray for our enemies, both foreign and domestic, but it gets hard sometimes.

...”What’s good and great doesn’t change with the whims of man.”...

I hope all will remember that today is our National Day of Prayer. Information from nationaldayofprayer.org states that we are to pray for unity and for the seven centers of influence in our nation which are Government, Military, Media Arts, Business, Education, Church, and Family.

Was this driven by gays in the pews or gays in the pulpits? My guess is the latter. If it was simply a matter of marrying gay couples in the church (which they shouldn't do, but ...), it would be easy enough to tweak the language, formally or informally, for those particular services. And I'd guess no one would care. But the gay clergy probably chokes over having to say "husband and wife" in normal weddings because it reminds them of their own apostasy.

The straight clergy, if there are any left in ECUSA, should be advocating retention of the traditional language for heterosexual couples. But the conservatives have been departing for many years now, and those who are left are probably a beaten bunch, hanging in for their pensions.

It will probably exist as Unitarian lite for those who can’t tolerate the harsh Unitarian dogma. Right now the average age of parishioners the Episcopal Church is around 60 and funerals out pace baptisms. Not very good statistics. Virtue On Line covers this stuff very well.

nah,
the episcopal Church wouldn’t want to push morality now would they?
Course not. Think of all the donations from the freak show the “church” would lose.
Worthless they are.

I remember when the Church was guided by scripture, rather than by the latest press release from the LGBTQIDIOTs.

Gay and lesbian Episcopalians have complained that the language of the current liturgy is offensive and exclusionary.

This s**t will continue until people finally decide to decline to live under the "Dictatorship of the Perpetually Offended", and just start saying:

"We regret that you are unhappy. However, if the words of Jesus do not apply today equally as much as they did then, then what's the point? We will not change to suit you, and will continue without you. Go in peace."

As an Ordained Minister I say with much sadness that organized “Religions” and little more than a business now

The tendency of pastors to bend to whatever they think will put the most money into the donation basket, will be the downfall of churches.

The tendency of pastors to listen to pastors' wives who want to be seen positively by the crowd, may be the bigger issue.

He hates the direction the church has went. I always thought he wore the pants in the family but she put him in his place and refused to leave.

It's less important that he makes her leave, than his withdrawing his support and presence. Let her go to her church on Sunday without him, while he seeks correct scripture elsewhere.

They've gone too far.

You mean, with this most recent change? You don't think that they went too far decades ago?

This attack on the nature of true marriage shouldn't surprise anyone who has been paying attention.
