In the teacher’s defense, I’m sure they would start teaching the kids with all the vigor and enthusiasm you would expect of teachers if we just paid them another $5,000 per year.
It’s not salaries bankrupting budgets, it’s pensions and bennies. Teachers don’t really strike over salaries. It’s all about pensions and health bennies. Salaries are a red herring.
Really? I seriously doubt it. It is not just the teachers that are broken. It is the system and society and lack of all manner of standards.
