Do yourself a favor and never read Stephen King’s Dream Catcher.

“Makes me think of the flick, “Damnation Alley”, from 1977...
It came out the same year as “Star Wars”, and had twice the budget.”

According to Aubrey Solomon, Twentieth Century Fox: A Corporate and Financial History, Scarecrow Press, 1989 p 258 (at least that’s the Wikipedia citation) the movie’s budget was $8,000,000. Star Wars (1977) budget was at least $11,000,000. https://tinyurl.com/ybl6eeej

Pour alcohol into the ear
And if you pull all of the legs off, you should realize that it cannot walk out on its own
And it may release its egg sack in there

“Good thing i sleep with earplugs in.”

It doesn’t bother you that your ability to hear threats while you’re sleeping is impaired by the earplugs?

My dad would remove ticks from our dog by touching it’s butt with a lighted cigarette. Bastards would hit reverse from whatever depth they had got to. Then smash.

At around twelve years old a moth flew into my ear outside around dusk. The thimg fluttered like crazy and was at times painful. After a few minutes my parents got it out by flushing my ear with warm water.

I would use oil instead of alcohol, followed by salt water. But either way should work.

There was a Night Gallery episode titled The Catepillar, that featured an earwig climbing into a guy’s ear.

My sister claimed that happened to her when visiting Africa. I suppose they got the name "Earwig" not by accident?

Another place I have no desire to visit.

I recall one night about 40 years when I woke up to a squishy feeling when I laid my hand next to my head on the bed. I wondered what it was, and turning on the light I found a fat tick. I pulled the covers back and found a dozen more.

I was single at the time and my dog was sleeping at the foot of my bed. I checked him and he was covered with blood engorged ticks. We had been out fishing down by the river that day and he must have picked them up there.

Took a couple of hours to remove all the ticks from my dog and change the sheets before I could go back to sleep.

This Wikipedia article, as well as IMDB, say that Damnation's budget was $17,000,000:
