Uh, no. :^) More gradualist nonsense -- ironically, claiming that Venus (which at its current average distance has less influence on the Earth than does the Earth's Moon, or than does Jupiter, for that matter) has been in its current orbit for 405,000 years while summoning up "Worlds In Collision".

I didn’t bother to read the article until you sent out the thread, but as a pragmatist with a maximum future of maybe 20 years, am I likely to be hurt physically, emotionally, sexually or fiscally by this phenomenon?

If not, screw it.
