Meghan Markle has surprised everyone by wearing a wedding dress designed by Givenchy's Clare Waight Keller after months of speculation liking her to other designers, such as Erdem. The bride-to-be stunned onlookers this morning as she stepped out of her car wearing the classic silk gown in pure white with a 15st veil embroidered with flowers of the Commonwealth, after predictions she'd chosen a heavily beaded gown. The veil is made from silk tulle with a trim of hand-embroidered flowers in silk threads and organza, while the look was completed by a Cartier bracelet and earrings and a Queen Mary diamond bandeau tiara, loaned to her by the Queen, prompting proud Prince Harry to tell his bride: 'You look amazing'.

Charles and Diana’s marriage barely lasted a decade.
The only reason they kept it up was for the kids.

Well, there’s no denying she’s a beautiful woman. And, by his expressions, I would say that Harry is in love with her. The children were adorable. That preacher REALLY took advantage of the venue-the only thing missing was wild shouts of ‘Amen’ and falling out in the aisles. He could have said enough in 5 minutes. Her mother looked overwhelmed but poised.All in all a spectacle like only England can put on. I’d love to have heard audience comments though.
I’m wearing LL Bean clothing today. After Memorial Day, I’m pulling the Hawaiian shirts and boat shoes out of my closet. No cargo shorts however. I’m too old for that now.

I don’t accept the concept of queen, prince, king, princess, duke or any other royal crap! This is all over TV! all the channels! I just wanted the weather, and I get gowns and extravagant waste!
Don't be too sure. Andy Cohen or Simon Whatshisname could spin this into a "reality" show in a New York second; The Real Housewives of Windsor, or Westeros or Bukingham, whatever. Franchised all over the empire!
Good Morning Guenevere. Only the Brits know how to throw a party, and it will go on all day long. The troops looked great and horses were beautiful.

Poor timing on that FF They knew a wedding was scheduled for today.
I could say that I don’t care.
But more importantly, I cannot judge someone’s decisions on their wedding day.
I hope they are happy.
Meghan is not in line for the throne, and Harry is way down the list, behind Charles, William, and all three of William’s children.
Harry is so far out of the line for the throne, he could have gone homo, and the “House” wouldn’t care.
I doubt she knows since she took off with Lancelot. :)

You think he didn’t hit that on the first date? The only surprise on the wedding night will be if they end up alone.
I find it amazing that her only relative at the wedding was Mom. I know her father’s side of the family is very difunctional but doesn’t she have cousins, aunts,uncles,Godparents? I also have heard no mention of any childhood friends or friends from high school or college. Something is off with this woman. It’s as if her life began when she started acting and she abandoned anything and anyone that came before.
I thought that Harry looked sublimely happy the whole time except when the preacher went on and on... even after his own comment something like it was time to get on with the wedding. I wonder if everything after that comment was extemporaneous.
Her dress should have been tie-dye!
