No one can travel into a black hole. There is no way to observe what is happening inside a black hole. So this is just equations. Not observations. The equations cannot be verified against reality.

Not made up, but conjectured by math (Einstein) and proved every day when one uses GPS.
It makes no logical sense, but as have many things in physics, when the math says it exists, it exists. Sorry, but that’s life in this universe. God is a mathematician.
