The slave trade (of Africans) was a EUROPEAN institution for over 300 years especially by the BRITISH in the Caribbean. Yes, America had slaves as colonies and when the Republic was in its beginning but we ultimately ripped America apart to end it. To ignore the staggering fact that close to 700,000 men died (a great portion from the North) is asinine and blatant disregard to historical facts. To this day most (African decent) Americans will vote and promote the ideology and political party that enslaved them: DEMOCRAT Party. The stupid British can chuckle all they want. They are now a colony by those who they once colonized.
Shhhh! That doesn’t fit the “narrative”(I started to really hate that word) of the left. Slavery is apparently a fairly recent thing that happened because of the founding fathers of the US. You know, old white dudes with lots of money. Guess they never looked to see what ages some of the founders were. There were a lot more in the SA and Caribbean spheres than will ever be owned up to.
