Some people will never believe that he actually died back in the 40’s. Is it too late to produce DNA evidence?
Perhaps there would be no reliable blood draw records to base any answers on. DNA is still a very new science.

Actually it seems many things are usable for DNA. Tooth pulp, for example, is a good source.

No. There are a few surviving family members, five of them as of early 2018, ranging in age from 48 to 86. Each has opted to have no children. An alleged illegitimate son died in 1985 but that story is unverified.
