Sen. Marco Rubio is once again breaking from Donald Trump ... defending Colin Kaepernick's right to protest and telling TMZ Sports why he absolutely SHOULD be on an NFL roster.
"Look, I support his right to stand for what he does," the republican senator tells us ... "I don't agree with what he did but I support his right to do it."
"But if we're just talking football ... there aren't 63 better quarterbacks in the world."
FYI, Rubio is assuming there are 64 quarterbacks currently on NFL rosters.
Rubio said he's not sure if the NFL owners actually colluded against Colin, as Kaep is alleging in his case against the league ... but he certainly believes Colin has the talent to play with the best in the world.
Of all the serious problems that this country has, this is what he comes out with? He wanted to be President?
FU Marco. Hes not just protesting - hes disrespecting the flag and the entirety of the United States of America as being evil - all under the guise of anti-US organization thats being led by socialists.
Rubio should have been removed from office for his Gang activities.
Idiot. Kaepernick would incite ISIS to rape his daughters and cut his head off. Whst the fck these idiots do not understand about cop killing inciters? Or do they and they are part of this sinister deep-state plan?
Another bullet we dodged. He doesn’t have the gravitas or smarts to be president of a small bank in Boca Raton, much less lead the free world.
Exactly, speech is free, but football is not a right nor an entitlement
But perhaps Rubio is against term limits and wants this aristocracy deep state corruption thing to be a thing
First it’s Parkland and where Promise gets a pass and shoots at guns and the 2nd amendment now this.
What is Marco running for?
He’s saying this to curry favor from the black voters, but for what campaign?
I doubt if he just woke up this week, full of righteous conviction that he belonged to Team Kaep!
Yes, and the NFL owners have a right to select other quarterbacks if they think they will fit the team better.
And fans have the right to walk if they don't like what is happening in the NFL.
All of this goes without saying, Senator Rubio.
And he thought he was presidential material?
And what does Little Marco understand about football, about respect for American, the American flag, and our national anthem? What a limp wristed loser.
Marco is becoming a Class-A goof.
Rubio is stupid. Let’s say, for the sake of argument, Kaepernick is the 35th best QB in the world. That makes him a backup. I can sign the 36th best QB to be my backup, without the baggage, and be better off.
It’s a requirement to live here actually.
I mean, look at me, I voted for this fool, Rubio, John McTumor AND Mitt R0mney!
Florida is the Southeastern Twilight Zone.
The NFL is a business. Its about making money. Winning is important, but not as important as the bottom line. 100 years+ of sports team ownership has borne that out.
So is Kaep good enough to be on a roster? Probably. But he’d impact the bottom line in a negative way.
Same goes for Tim Tebow in reverse. Should a 30 year old with marginal talent be on a minor league baseball team? No. But Tebow is good for the bottom line, so he stays.
Little Marco is auditioning to be an NFL waterboy.
.
Marco Rubio belongs in a well padded cell!
