Back firing the last transition I was running a thread hereabouts where I was posting daily solar weather figures no even charting them.

I was calling the coming minimum the Gore-Hansen Minimum.

Temperatures will lag behind the sun as heat is lost.

On the bright side, if a new ice age starts my brother and his family will have to move back from Canada eventually.

I’m sure it’s nothing that a little Socialism can’t fix.

Since the late 1950s the solar cycles has been mostly in decline, unexceptional maximums, and long minimums. Those involved in high frequency radio communications such as ham radio operators or radio professionals have been well aware of the fact for years.

If we have another repeat of the Maunder Minimum, I hope people around the world starts to like eating wheat (and possibly corn) a lot. Mostly because longer winters means a drastic reduction in the production of rice, a staple food throughout much of the less-developed world.

Like the Time Magazine cover from the 1970s “Global Cooling.”

Since President Trump was elected we have experienced a .5 C decline in worldwide temperatures, the sharpest decline in over 100 years.

https://realclimatescience.com/2018/05/earth-cooling-fastest-in-a-century-since-trump-took-office/

The two major factors responsible for the current decline in temperatures appear to be the El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) cycle and a weak solar cycle. Measured CO2 levels seem to have been shown repeatedly to have very little affect. It is somewhat amusing to have the leading measurement of “worldwide CO2” levels to come from Mauna Loa in Hawaii just a few miles from an active volcano.

The media coverage on “global warming” keeps doubling down on their pet theory despite the data going in an inconvenient direction for them.

Cold kills a lot more than heat does.

You don’t have people at the equator selling everything to move to the arctic. You do have a lot more people going the other way, though.

Warmth is life. Not oven warmth, but don’t be an ass and take it out of context.

Wait-a-minute! Are you telling me that the SUN is responsible for the temperature of our planet - and NOT a trace gas like CO2?.

I mean, c’mon - the sun is over 93 MILLION miles away. How can it possibly have that much of an effect?
