Has anyone noticed how closely the plots of Designated Survivor match real events lately? I’m only about 5 minutes into the 2d to last episode, but the President has appointed someone who appears to be an adversary to investigate his predecessor. Hmmmm. Mueller & 0vomit.
Also there is all sorts of international stuff regarding East and West Honshu. Thinly disguised N & S Korea.

The story started when someone blew up the Capitol during the SOTU. At the time I thought the whole show was threatening to POTUS. (And maybe it was. And maybe it morphed. Or maybe something else.) But it looks more like the blow-up-the-Capitol story is an allegory for 9/11.

Probably so. Remember when Ovomit’s admin was working with Hollyweird on a movie? That went away pretty quickly once word got out, or did it?
I have not watched Homeland but a friend said that it paralleled real events.
