Just how close were you to the fence cuz unless you were right on it, nothing would happen.
(1) electric fence have a 'pulse', it charges and then releases that charge for a 'pop"(2) Unless you are a horse or a fire hose, urine streams aren't a constant flow, allowing the charge to have a solid connection.
Myth busters proved this awhile back. And yes as a kid I and my friends tried this to no avail.
