Various NFL players are reportedly discussing different forms of protesting in response to a new policy requiring players to stand for the national anthem.

“I talked to a former NFL player yesterday who has said that players are already talking about other ways in which they can protest," NBC's Craig Melvin said on "Today" on Thursday.

Melvin did not specify which players he spoke to, or what other forms of protesting they were considering.

I have not watched pro football in two years and already I'm discussing new ways to lower my viewing by 50% during the coming season.

if I had any investment at stake in NFL, I would FIRE all of these crazy players. You cannot make any money INSULTING your customers, fans.
NFL teams are headed straight into bankruptcy.

THEN, at least, we will see new teams ... with good players and owners who don’t allow their workers to destroy their businesses.

ps: Congress is CO-CONSPIRATOR, enabler for all this anti-American stupid BS. Congress needs to repeal its laws granting NFL monopoly status and unfair subsidy, tax advantages. Once the football teams are required to compete for our business, financial support.. they will start being responsive to our concerns, wishes. Monopolies know they can sheet on their customers, fans. This is demoralizing, and SO very un-American too! Wake up, Congress, stop this krap!
