So I have heard. Sure get’s a lot of people excited though. And if It is from hemp then how come it was illegal until recently in most states?

How come you cannot buy it on Amazon? But maybe ebay where it is called CBD-Hemp oil

Hops are more psychoactive than CBD and found in nearly all beer. It is impossible to become high or impaired by CBD.

What a joke and waste of taxpayer time/money. WHY such damn hysteria over a plant? WHY?

Most things you find in the alcohol, sleeping pill or cough aisles at the pharmacy are potentially more impairing, more addictive and more toxic than ANY compound found in cannabis. It’s all about how you use them.

Just like with all those things you find at the pharmacy, the key is promoting moderation and personal responsibility. We shouldn’t be banning everything for responsible people

It’s got no psychoactive effects. None.

I am amazed at some of the ignorant posts on this thread.

CBD has many remarkable qualities

There is this new thing called Google.

Hops and cannabis are two closely related species in the Cannabaceae family. Like cannabis, or hemp, hops stems are fibrous and both plants contain terpenes, such as myrcene and beta-pinene. Unlike cannabis, there are no cannabinoids in hops (though the plant does contain the essential oils and bitter resins that give beer its trademark flavor).(bing)

i only have a vague and passing memory of the laws concerning the hemp plant, but yes, it is the source of CBD oil.

The weird part of this is that cannabis is an upper, but alcohol is a downer, so if you drink this stuff, you’re likely to have bouncing brain.

“but because the trade bureau requires special approval for non-standard beer ingredients”

I wonder if this includes peaches and berries.

Some of these IPAs are an abomination.

CBD has NO intoxicating effects. However, it does help greatly with the inflammation of arthritis among several other ailments.

No, they don’t ‘decide’ what is beer, Yes, they need to know what the ingredients are so that people are informed.

Government is not overstepping here. They are merely telling the company to get the ingredients registered just like everyone else in the food business.

They got the “Tango” right, and the “Foxtrot” right, but the NATO word for “W” is “Whiskey”, not “Wilco”.

I heard of that beer and thought the same thing as you.

"Wilco" used to be used during radio transmissions as the shortened version of "Will Comply." Heard it all the time in the 60s when I was a kid flying with my uncle.

I think that term was also used in telegraph transmissions as well.

Follow the money. If it can be taxed, it will be taxed.

“CBD Oil is also perfectly legal and available in many local drug stores, some drug chains”

Product available from national chains is “hemp oil” which contains NO CBD. I saw this at Kroger/Fred Meyer a few days ago. Many people buy these thinking they’re getting a medicinal ingredient, but they aren’t.

I use CBD oil also, obtained either from hemp or marijuana (I live in a legalized state). It is entirely non-psychoactive, as you say. For me it works remarkably well as an anti-spasm agent. There is no difference chemically in the CBD obtained from marijuana or hemp.

Yes, it does include berries, fruits and other adjuncts.

The FDA has a list of things that can be ingredients, if an item isn’t on the list, then it needs approval before use.

The was a brewery that was wanting to make rose water infused beer,(for reasons not understood by myself) ts not on the list when they came up with the idea.

So many of these breweries come up with recipe ideas, but don’t do their research at to the legal requirements.
