The Cozy Corners security cameras were rolling at 12:43 Saturday morning when police say a masked man entered the restaurant with a black revolver and demanded money.
He threw a bag at one of the workers and demanded she fill it with cash. Her hands shaking, she filled the bag. As he grabbed the bag, shots rang out.
At least one shot hits the drink machine. Next you see the man turns and he is wounded and falls to the floor.
Tres balazos, said witness and restaurant cook Daniel Acevedo. That translates into three bullets.
Detectives marked at least two bullet holes.
Acevedo said the shots came from the drive-thru window. Security video shows a car fleeing into the night onto Harbor Boulevard.
The cook said a man and two women had pulled up to order food at the same time the robber was inside....
Al mejor el carro quizo ayudar, Acevedo said, believing the people in the car were trying to help, at best.

We actually left, drove a little longer and slept in the car. Every room in that area (Marin County, I guess) was $300 a night and Yelp reviews kept talking bed bugs. So that coupled with the IV drug users kept us moving along.
I just did the drive to Oregon again, two weekends ago but took 5 this time. Once out of the LA disaster, it was much more pleasant. If and when "Jefferson" (the 51st state) comes to be, count me in because THAT is beautiful country.
That’s so funny. My mother had a thing for him too and would always talk about his masculinity.
This time we were driving on 5 and got to a point where we were spent. I was trying to make it to Tracy because I have a friend who lives there and figured it was probably OK because I know she wouldn't live anywhere too disturbing.
It was just me and my daughter and we were just tired. We knew we couldn't make it to Tracy and starting looking to Yelp. It pointed us to a town called Los Banos. It said it was about ten miles off 5 but worth the drive and a few decent hotels to choose from.
We get off the exit and we are in big farms. Beautiful, well kept, massive farms with farm houses. But, there wasn't a soul around, no cars, no sign of human life other than the fact that everything was well maintained.
So, we are driving. Driving. It's getting really eerie. Like a neutron bomb went off and just left everything in it's place.
Suddenly a car pulls out from the side street. It's following for a long while. Now I am getting a little anxious. Thinking it's some gang members or something who target unwitting tourists off the highway. I am sweating a little. Every block or so, I ask my daughter if it's still there.
I feel like I am driving forever with nothing and no one in sight. Seemed like 100 miles not ten.
Finally, I hit a stop sign and this cute little (normal) town of Los Banos. I ended up paying out the a$$ for a room becuase most rooms were booked up because there was a parade in town that day.(:
Life in the modern day USA.
Btw, +10 on your comment regarding Jefferson/separate state!
That's not true for every state.
Here in Texas, if the initial facts at the scene indicate a justified, legal use of deadly force by the shooter, they will not be arrested.
That only happens if subsequent investigations reveal new facts that warrant the arrest of the shooter.
“the shooter is wanted by police on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon”

...proving that driving away was the right thing to do (in CA).
You don’t want the keys to Santa Ana. Went to school there. It’s a hole.
I know SA intimately. But thanks.
Not true.
Awesome
No suspect description is available for the shooter. No other injuries were reported in the shooting."
Just like I said. The shooter knew better than to stick around.
If he had, we would have already seen the headline: "California: Arrested For Being A Good Guy With A Gun"
The source is Channel 21, which may be the CBS Spanish station. I believe that Channel 2 is the traditional CBS station. At least it was when I lived there.
