I'd be interested in seeing a copy of the statutes as well.

I've been thinking over the snowbird idea.
I'm sort of retired now and why should I be putting up with
the frigid weather, snow shovelling and bad driving conditions
when I could go south in the winter and enjoy the warmth and Sun.
I don't want to live in some expensive house
an inexpensive minihome/cabin would be all I need....and internet, please.

No argument.

I am putting forth the FE information for those who can’t legally or won’t carry, or the odd situation where improvisation is necessary.

There was a dog attack last week in Pennsylvania where the father of the victim had resorted to stabbing the attacking dog with a kitchen knife. The child, his six-year old son, died as a result of the dog attack. The dog, a pit bull type, belonged to the family.

The father was cutting grass at the time of the attack.

The supposed dog trainer works for the city/county parks department. There was no way the city/county was going to do a thing. The woman has a permanent handicapped parking placard. She occasionally mows her lawn and I actually watched her shovel a pickup load of mulch from her pickup. (Certainly stolen from my property taxes) Her husband never mows the lawn and the same placard and is obviously also not handicapped. When I went to Kroger a while back this woman was parked in the pregnant woman parking space. (Mid 50’s) They have registered both pits as support animals. They are entitled lib wackadoos and their dogs are a menace. She had a pair of rots before and they too were hyper aggressive. Soooooo kanawa... what do we do? Seriously.

You are correct and your advice should be appreciated by all of those who can not for one reason or another, own or carry a firearm.

Residents of NJ, CA, MA, MD, DC do not enjoy the same freedom many of us enjoy.

At 58 years old, I have only been bitten by two dogs. Both were pit bulls.

I hope you received no serious or permanent injury or incapacitation either time.

Some have a dewclaw that serves well enough as a thumb.

If he can train the dog to pick locks and recognize the good jewelry....

Dogs are too honest to steal jewelry. I'll bet I could train one to steal hot dogs, though.

Perhaps one might tape the lockpick to the dewclaw.

Unfortunately, the visual that comes to mind when considering this image is that of the McGruff police dog from the 80s “Taking a Bite out of Crime” ads - wearing classic burglar clothing, black eyemask and all.

Obviously, it has been a long month.
