I went to the Rotunda!
My sister, BIL, and all their kids went with me and we stood out there for a few hours to go by. It was great. I had skipped work to go, and was just starting to date my husband, but couldn’t get him to come with us. So glad I did it.
I really love that man.
I stayed home from work to watch the memorial service, I cried through the whole thing. I also remember that the rotunda stayed open overtime for many hours because there were so many people waiting to go through and pay their respects.
