We get a lot of crazies moving down from NY, NJ and Ohio especially. Fortunately, most of them settle in Greater Miami which is totally different from the rest of Florida.
Jax, which is my hometown and North Florida in general, is Dixie. Its conservative, staunchly pro military and pro 2nd amendment....oh and of course, heavily armed. Generally speaking the rest of Florida can outvote Miami but its close. It sure would be helpful if we did not keep getting a steady flow of Leftist Yankees.

I lived in Jax for about 6 months right when 9/11 happened. I loved it, but man if you don’t want to work in the Medical or Insurance industry it’s tough to find a “career job”.
I lived near one of the malls near Ocean blvd. Fun little town.
Wife is from Miami, so I’m well versed in the 3rd world culture that inhabits that weird city. We go every year.
Between the evil liberal yanks and Haitians, Ricans, or Venezuelans - I’m not sure who’s worse.

I knew you were in TX when I saw that. I remember being surprised at an Arizona Walmart when I saw hard liquor on displays along the aisles..We get M & M’s & cans of green beans while they get Jim Beam and Dewar’s.
