I worked security at a University for many years. The qorst events were those that invloved tha arts community. Free pr cheap drinks brought them i like moths to a flame. There was always breakage, arguements, drunken idiots asleep or vomiting outside and sleazy art teachers taking home drunken students just drunk enough to put out but sober enough to consent or think they did. Debauched minds with no self control. Always reminded me of Caligula

Could it be that “artists” trend to use emotions, rather than controlled logic?

Could it be that “artists” do very poorly in science, technology, engineering, and math?

Actually, I think it was the location that affected this and moved it from rowdy or sleazy behavior to homicide. One of the comments from somebody who had gone to the event said that they had just decided to leave because this year it had suddenly become very “gangsta.” So I’d say the problem wasn’t the artists or the art-lover crowd, but that somehow it had gotten out on social media and attracted the attention of the thug crowd, famous for crashing parties and turning them into shoot-a-thons.
