People who are light-sensitive or epileptic began warning other film-goers on social media.
There is a strobe-light sequence in the picture that apparently caused some people to become nauseous.
Disney/Pixar believe the problem was serious enough to ask theaters to start posting signs warning about the sequence
People tweeted that the strobe effects the villain uses left them nauseous or worse gave them a seizure
So as a result, I walked out of the theater with a migraine, said blogger Veronica Lewis.
Thats why Lewis took to twitter in a thread thats now gone viral asking Disney & Pixar to do as their character says make things right.
She makes it clear she thinks the strobe lights are integral to the plot. And shes not asking for a boycott. She just wants viewers with photosensitive conditions to have a heads up. And the movie to come with a warning
So the “girl power” plot didn’t ruin it? I’m on the fence about seeing it, especially with Disney getting my cash.
The first one was nearly the perfect movie. If it needed a sequel, it should have been ten years ago.
Yes, technically.
Oh that's easy - we live today by the gospel of the tyranny of the minority. Disney will cut the scene out, even as you say it's an important part of the movie.
Oh brother. For pete's sake, just don't go to the movie; let those of use who enjoy it leave us in peace.
Mom was pretty torn over leaving kids and Dad wrestling with baby issues were real for my experience.
Spoiler alert: If you don't want Incredibles 2 spoiled for you, turn away now. All of Jack Jack's powers explained
okay.
Archie would try.
Jughead wouldn’t worry.
But, both of us walked out with a headache. May have been from the strobing, or just the fact that the theater speakers were set on "Deafen".
Was worth the price of a matinee, or just wait to see it at home.
The first Incredibles was one of the best films ever made. So glad they took the care to keep the quality up on the second.
Like Hollywood isn’t inflicting enough pain and misery on the people...
And may your insufferable intermeddling serve you well among your fellow kapo aspirants.
I was worried about that. Saw where it was going in the first 10 minutes, and thought, "@#$#@$, here we go again...."
However, it wasn't obnoxious, or at least not as obnoxious as other movies (insert just about ANY recent StarWars/Superhero movie, here....)
Without giving too much away, the movie was more about people who think that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. As usual, it's not. The Mom is a surprisingly conservative character, the Dad is dumb, but really wants to be a good Dad. I liked the strong family themes.
Bkmrk.
Avoid the minute HEREDITARY if you have a Judeo-Christian faith.
I’ve never in my life left a theatre praying that God would remove from my mind what I had just watched. This is a CREEPY and EVIL indoctrination attempt. The end scene, a worship scene mantra came across as MUCH more than a mere scene in a movie.
Even during the movie there were writings on the walls of the house. Early on, my spirit was moved to NOT try to figure out those words, to not read them, then to even look away so they were never even seen. I should have walked out at that point.
I don’t over spiritualize in daily life, but this movie is evil.
I was reminded of some comments here about the HOSTEL movies, which I haven’t seen, beyond a curious look at one trailer, which was enough for me to know that I shouldn’t see them. Anyway, somewhere, a comment was posted that the evil in this world well tell us what they’re up to through these movies and that HOSTEL was a representative of the evil pedovores out there.
Hereditary is like that, but just a different angle.
I should have never seen it.
...a friendly word of warning to anyone with ears to hear.
Blessings,
J
Care to be more specific as to what in the movie is CREEPY and EVIL?
I don’t think she’s asked anyone to stop the universe for her, and her asking that folks be alerted if they have these sorts of issues they may want to avoid the movie..
Seems a reasonable request.
Not everything is an assault
No need for the snotty attitude.
Go see the movie and pollute your mind.
