Trying to whittle this one in Corona Del Mar down to $14mil. I can already see the whole Wardaddy clan in this home.
I was told Eddie Van Halen just bought a place near the Ritz Carlton in Dana Point. Big House, small lot, great ocean view.
That’s what I’m talkin about.
Even though I think all of Corona del Mar is on a cliff and he would have to figure out where to keep the yacht.
Sometimes you have to make tough choices.
Were headed to Joshua Tree.
Cal One was blocked from mud slides between San Simeon and Big Sur so we drove up though Carmel Valley and down......and backtracked through Monterey and down the 101 to the 5 to Glendale so I can exchange the car at Hertz and get a car .....a Jeep...with no drop off fee for Nashville....the car I first rented had a cray drop fee
Were going to drive back through Grand Canyon. And Santa Fe and kinfolks in Texas and Mississippi...people even older than I am..lol
It seems my house and ten acres in rural TN would be worth probably 50 million in Hombly Hills so I wish I could just move it all there and sell it
Craziest property values this side of Belgravia
I could afford a garage apt in Los Feliz
I wanted to watch surfers at Mavericks but alas seas were calm ....a mere 15-18 foot low frequency rollers
I drove past this Tejon Ranch about two hours ago....goes on forever......
I noticed all the farmers bitching about water
Environweenies prefer farmers fail to rather than damn snowmelt
Theres plenty of water but its going to the Gulf of California to save fish and darters
And one last question....if all the illegals get deported which suits me ....we better be ready for much higher prices
Its like home builders in metro Nashville building 200 houses a day.....off illegals labor with gringo or legal mex supervisors
I didnt see any non Latino farm workers.....and I saw a lot of beautiful produce operations and vineyards
You guys are Americas produce bread basket...no question
If he has people he can just text Jack to bring the yacht around. I hear theres a sale on Johnny Depps yachts. Probably baking soda and vinegar will remove the pee, wine, and vomit scent.
Ahhh, the tragedy of the 5. Isnt it sad, seeing those fields? They used to be irrigated and green.
And the Central Valley, Ive seen it change in my life. We have a place middle of nowhere up in the middle of CA in the hills, and when I was young the farming towns were small and quiet and American with Hispanic farmworkers thrown in. Theres no more anglos there now except victor David Hansen.
I bet those tiny delta smelt fish would taste amazing bbqed in big pans on the grill like they do in Italy. What a good use, then we can keep our voluminous rainwater and snowmelt each year.
And remember, as you were driving, didnt you so wish you were in a slow train with track carved through the mountains, stopping here and there, snacking on chips and surrounded by an element that made you think twice about taking your iPhone out of your pocket? You know, instead of your own car so you can do what you want and not travel with gangbangers and illegals? This is the sexual fantasy of our governor.
Im not sure real estate prices would go up without illegals. I think wages for Americans would go up, yes, but there would be more RE and apts and I think a glut will lower prices. It wont ever be cheap here Unless we have the big earthquake. And sitting on the 405 even on the weekend, one tries not to wish for it.
Agreed, there are a lot of huge properties in Nashville I would also like to move here, but keep the Nashville prices. I am shocked that the house we fell in love with in Nashville is probably doubled in price since we were there 4 years ago. I should have just bought it then. It was brand new in Green Hills. It had a normal sized lot, not The A and B crap I see now. A backyard with actual trees. Brand new build, with a very unusual floor plan. The agent went outside or didnt come in with us, and my sons and I looked the place over (unfinished, mostly done) alone. As we were leaving, one kid opened what looked like a closet door off the kitchen and found a hidden staircase. We went up and it went to the top of the house, like floor 3, where there was a HUGE roomlike a party room with giant pillar supports and big windows and we just fell in love with this place. It already had a separate (perfect for recording studio) place over the garage that connected to the house upstairs.
Have fun in the desert. Its going to be nice this weekend.
You mean we don’t get to move the yacht around?
I think his “people” are probably younger versions, with his same last name, and they live in his house.
Unfair nepotism!
Just drove across desert at night from Twenty Nine Palms to Prescott for the night
Grand Canyon mañana....Hopi Point
Driving under a nice bright half moon night in the dry balmy desert listening to Roy Buchanon and Hank Sr and Pink Floyd in that order with my almost a man oldest of my three sons.....
At sixty its a rich experience .....no doubt....
Prolly Gallup or Cortez tomorrow nite.....
My green hills home previously was on Tyne Blvd...a great street ....I bought it in 2001 and sold it in 2009 for 2.8 times purchase price
My wee horse abode near Franklin has gone up 2.2 times purchase in nine years
Nashville is hot tin roof hot
Nashville is hot tin roof hot. That is for sure.
And I adore going places with my two oldest too, also semi grown up. It is indeed a trip. To have helped shape real people! And they are great guys!
We spent a ton of time in the desert growing up because my. Grandparents lived there. Havent been much since. Miss the smell. Have a great drive.
