What about for folks on a Mac? Do you know if that linked image app work on OSi?
Thanks.
irfanview is a 3rd party image viewer\editor but more robust than Paint. It's freeware( or donationware ?) but for windows only.
Here are some 3rd party apps for MAC
https://irfanview.en.softonic.com/mac/alternatives
when i need to do a screen shot of something, i can generally get away with hitting the “print screen” key in windows.
MAC has similar capabilities and also works somewhat like windows snipping tool
https://www.itg.ias.edu/content/keyboard-shortcuts-capture-screen-shot-mac-os-x
Windows also provides a “Snipping tool” which allows me to capture whatever I frame, rather than the whole screen.
I then need to paste it somewhere to whack away at it. That's where Paint or irfanview come in. I open an instance of either then paste.
I save it as whatever - gif or jpg, or etc....
In order to post the image to Free Republic, (or any where else) I need to link to it from “somewhere” on the web.
I opened a free account here: https://imgbb.com
This allows me to upload my images to my https://imgbb.com account -free up to 16mb worth.
From my https://imgbb.com account, I can now post the image to Free Republic.
Hope this makes some semblance of sense and maybe answered your question
