This happens periodically when a “joke” headline never intended to be broadcast accidentally makes it onto the air. However it’s always a malicious joke about republicans or conservatives, never the left. Not a single time. Telling (as if we needed more evidence)

Back in 2000 or 2001, one of my friends was working as a junior editor/technician for WFAA in Dallas.

A new talent was hired but had NEVER used any of the standard equipment used in TV broadcasting. So he was required to train her.

He entered a joke into the practice chyron: “Al Gore eats baby at Austin TX campaign stop”.

He gets interrupted and Ms. All Brains changes it to a priority feed - and sends it out.

Guess who gets fired? Yep the techie, not the bottle blond Ms. Perky.

The talent is never at fault.

Yeah, just like with that ABC News Miami chyron that moved from the lower right corner of the screen to just where George Zimmerman's bruised scalp was in that police station video.
