Hard to believe this wasn’t connected to Chinese companies if it wasn’t just a kind of vandalism. A number of EV startups in China, including ones that make Tesla clones.

Would anyone in their right mind drive a Tesla home in a rainstorm, park it in an attached garage with their bedroom above it, plug it in to recharge and then go to bed? Musk is pushing M3 production and the stock has been paralleling his production figures which he hopes to be 5,000 vehicles per week. However the big unanswered question is what is the real long term demand for electric vehicles in a free market. Also what is the durability and reliability of the vehicle. Musk has a cult like following and IMHO any investment in this company is very risky.
Electric vehicles beg the question of the impact on the quantity and price of electric power...deep stuff...and definitely not priced into his insanely priced stock.
Seems to me this is great news for Musk, as now he can claim this guy caused irreparable damage to the Model 3 or whatever that is again delayed, and abandon it all together, making more millions for himself.
Comrade Musk failed to read the training manual when he signed onto the Socialist party. This is how Socialism operates, Mr. Musk.
If corporates proprietary secrets were stolen, that is espionage not sabotage.
