Absolutely stupidest movie of the summer, and that’s saying a lot. I took my nephews to see it, being ignorant of all the PC, cliche crap that fills it from start to finish. Diverse good guys/gals vs evil militaristic white villains, one of whom snarls at one point, “what a nasty woman!”. Rule of thumb, if you’re rooting for the villain, it’s a bad movie!

I rooted for Chas over Jason Melon, and the movie was fantastic!

Recently some story came out that in a cut scene the female lead (I guess), some hispanic woman I think, for no apparant reason leans over to Chris Pratt and says something to the effect "You know I'm a lesbian, right?" The actress said (paraphrasing) "well, I understand why they cut it. Our characters had just met and it didn't make sense for that to be said there, plus it didn't really affect the story".

So it served no purpose and didn't make sense, why was it there in the first place? Well in the middle of an action / adventure movie it's important to have a main character saying "Hello, I'm a Hispanic female so I'm an extra divers girl-power character. But before we meet I want to make sure the audience knows that I'm even more diverse than that. I'm lesbian too!" Virtue signal bonus points x 3.
