I was going to say, elbook, but you said it first.
I still remember learning is grade school, about 55 years ago, that one big Temple skull-trophy-wall had 20,000 skulls, and there were trophy-walls not just at the big Temples (like Tenochtitlan) but in hundreds of cities and towns.
I think it also maintains the illusion that Native Americans are just victims of Western Civilization, which is the cause of all the world’s evil. The same people think that the Middle East would be just fine without Israel, and Islamic culture is morally superior to our own. Slavery, genocide, and mistreatment of women occurs there only because they all prefer it that way.
Before the Europeans showed up they needed meat for their tacos.
The Spanish did the world a favor when they wrecked the Aztecs
planned Parenthood has been doing this for quite some time now. In fact they screaming just last week about a "beating heart" law.
“In 2015 archaeologists from Mexico’s National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) found a gruesome ‘trophy rack’ near the site of the Templo Mayor, one of the main temples in the Aztec capital Tenochtitlan, which later became Mexico City.”
Doesn’t seem like much has changed in Mehecoh down to the present. Why don’t we allow massive numbers of them invade our country?
Of course it was justified. The people of the Americas were for the most part barbaric. Their lives were nomadic, living off the land, warring with other tribes and dying before they were 30.
For those who think living off of the land sounds great, watch the Survivor shows. It was often very cold, or very hot, food was scarce or abundant depending on the cycle.
Very little agriculture was going on in most tribes, so they followed the herds of wild animals and ate what grew naturally.
These people hadn’t even invented the wheel, and had eaten horses into extinction. The Spanish reintroduced horses to America, and the plains Indians finally had a mode of transportation.
Without transportation and agriculture, the civilizations were already marked for extinction.
Cortez had no trouble recruiting natives of other tribes to fight against the Aztecs. Cortez, good Christian that he was, recognized this business as the demonic horror from hell that it is.
I haven’t heard a single Native American say they’d rather still be living in the stone age. Running around naked, making crude weapons out of rocks and sticks, sacrificing each other to their pagan gods, and living to a ripe old age of 25. What a life. Contrary to what they’ll usually say, America didn’t belong to Native Americans any more than it belonged to the rabbits who lived on it. They owned individual tribal lands separated by large swaths of no man’s land. There was not even a collective identity, being mostly at war with one another. They’re better off now, since they still own large reservations that are more like independent countries than anything else.
If you really look into Ancient American archaeology, you will find that life was much different here 2,000 years ago, than in 1500AD. There is quite compelling evidence of Northern Europeans not just visiting, but settling down. There is also evidence of Hebraic culture, paleo-Hebrew carvings etc, up and down the East Coast. When Columbus “discovered” the Americas, the entirety of the Americas, was in a fallen state. Civilizations that had arisen in the past, were long gone, or in the case of the Incas and Mayans, teetering on total collapse. Whatever happened, and who was on this continent first, is really not taught about, or thought about in archeological circles. It is simply taboo.
Well put. I’ve always suspected there was some “Atlantean” type civilization existing in the past, but collapsed at some point. There are little bits of disconnected evidence everywhere in history and prehistory. In any case, Native Americans didn’t exclusively own America. They themselves migrated there between 10,000 and 20,000 years ago, based on the archeological evidence.
