Most uninformed post I’ve seen. True brain death or cessation of brain function would not allow a heart to beat for five years.

You should refrain from opining on that which you do not understand.

The heart does not need input from the brain in order to beat. As long as it receives nutrients and oxygen, it will continue to beat.

At my place of work, I oversee researchers who grow heart cells in petri dishes. Those heart cells not only beat, but when electrodes are attached, electrocardiograms can be recorded. Beating is a function of cardiac tissue, not of brain input.

Remind me again, please, how I do not know what I am talking about?
