I NEVER stay at a hotel until I’ve pulled back the bottom sheet and checked the mattress seams for signs of bedbugs. I’ve heard you can use a blacklight to check for them, too.

I do check the mattress too. But I still don’t use the sheets. Around 50 years ago I went to a hotel and found 2 dollar bills under the pillow. The tip the cleaner didn’t take because they didn’t change the sheets.
