Golden Bantam is an early sweet corn. Dad favored country gentlemen a white variety, I like the white yellow mix but it comes on late. We had beef dogs with chili tonite with a salad to get over grilled thick cut top round steak mushrooms and fries yesterday. Me I’m retired. Ma still works so I cook during the week. We will both be here tomorrow, so the adventure begins. I’ve seen BLT’s and scones for dinner. So it’s a crap shoot.

All a nice way to cap having brought the wife and kids to greet the President as he came into town.

What a great, and historic fun family thing to do!

If Hillary had won, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.

Period.

Everyone seems to prefer the white. But I love those square kernels packed in there like sardines. Also sweet, but with some moxie.

Bayou rigatoni. My favorite dish at the restaurant where I work. Little pieces of lobster and tomatoes in a cheesy, creamy spicy sauce with rigatoni noodles. It’s so good. I ate at work because I knew the meal I prepared for my family was a way to use up leftovers (shredded chicken in a sweet and tangy sauce over mashed potatoes) and I was in the mood for something amazing. My husband said the chicken and potatoes were good, though. Nothing is as good as the Bayou Rigatoni.

I could go for that in a big way, minus the spicy.

Is that the Golden Bantam with 8 rows?

You should try NK199 if you can find it.

Had rigatoni at Carmine’s 2 nights ago. They never overcook the pasta, bless their little hearts.

Wonderful meal line up and wonderful reason!

I like elk better than beef. You have most excellent taste.

I never counted the rows. Was too busy getting a full 1/4 pound of butter to stick to the corn.
