If their asylum claims were based on actual facts - rather than a memorized scripts - they would not have forgotten due to any “heartbreak” now claimed by their lawyers.

Sessions recently removed domestic violence and gang violence as grounds for asylum.
I heard a pro-asylum weenie on NPR a couple of days ago say that was 90% of asylum claims.

A broken hearted parent THAT HAS THE REAL HOPE OF CORRECTING THIS SO CALLED "WRONG", goes into adulting gear, gets it together and does what has to be done to get their child or children back.
I real parent does not break down in a helpless, whimpering mess.

I am SO sick of these people I can barely read about them anymore.
When I was starting out and living in “affordable” housing, we had to buy roach traps. I remember once we caught a big one, but since it was only one, we put the trap back. A few days later we checked it again, and there were lots of tiny roaches stuck in there, but the big one was gone. It had crawled out using its offspring to get away. Kind of reminds me of these illegals.
Then these people should reconsider whether they want to migrate to such a horrible, horrible country, where children are separated from their parents. With complete and utter drivel. What an obvious bunch of garbage being fed from the activist to the lawyers. Every one of their arguments says just shut the whole thing down and turn everyone back.
And who is paying these attorneys to collect and share sob stories. If the attorneys had any honesty and self respect, the would help the reunite and go home.

Here is a corollary to this saga.
If Mrs DoodleBob and I were scofflaws and were pondering illegally entering Lichtenstein and thought the likelihood of us being separated from the little DoodleBobs was high, we'd stay at home. We love our kids too much to take that chance for a AAA rated country.
To be fair, this threat of separation was small under the Obama regime. And, to be sure, a parent may face a Hobson's choice in staying in, say, North Korea vs risking separation. I get it.
So...the question to ask is: if Mexico isn't NK - it's not a sh**hole, remember? - and since the parents know they MAY be separated since Trump has been around for about 18 months - everyone knows there's a new sherif in town... what does it say about the parents, that they're willing to risk separation from their flesh and blood, in breaking the law?
Send them back if they cannot take the steps to gain entry.
We will get your kids to you at the border.

they worry about their child’s wellbeing, but they dragged them 1000 miles on top of a train, through hostile territory, with few meals or sanitation, for a month or more?
There are a lot of really good people who work to house, feed, clothe, educate, decompress, and normalize the children after their trauma, and there are actually illegal parents who have been quoted saying things like ‘my child looked like he hadn’t had a bath in a month.’ “the food was horrible’ and ‘their clothes looked dirty.’ When chances are, there are bodies of children littering the way that we will never hear about.
If they think so little of America that they are imagining that their children are being mistreated in housing centers, why did they come? Did they think that if they showed up at the border, or threw their kid over, that we’d give them a nice little house to live in stocked with groceries and cars in a village with all their old neighbors? And how can they possibly work, if they can’t have their children out of their sight? How many have sole-custody paperwork and how many are Amber Alerts?
