Alexsandr Solzhenitsyn in the multi-volume work The Gulag Archipelago estimated the death toll just from the Soviet Union itself to be around 100 million. Given what Mao Zedon did was just as aggressive in liquidating enemies, my 200 million figure may not be ridiculously far-fetched, sadly.
