Come to think of it, Elvis not touring Europe is very strange. I think you’re right.

The only time he played overseas was when he was in the Army stationed in Germany. He actually didn’t stay very long in his barracks. He rented a few rooms at two different hotels and then rented a house and some of his musician friends flew over and sometimes they would have a gam session at eh house and allegedly thye went up on stage at a local bar and sang a couple of songs.

Tom Parker was a greedy coward that cost Elvis dearly. His songs did make it to Europe but with zero live shows which were his strength.
Arlo Guthrie unwittingly illustrates this point well ...
